Our worship is lively, engaging the mind as well as the Spirit. We gather. We encounter God’s Word. We share the sacrament of Holy Communion at the Lord ’s Table. And we are sent into the world. Worship is an encounter with God, who saves us through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We celebrate Holy Communion every Sunday. All are welcome. We celebrate an open table whereby all those baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are welcome to receive the elements. Those not receiving the body and blood of Christ will receive a blessing. Wine and grape juice are available as well as bread and gluten free wafers.
Age of First Communion varies within our Lutheran tradition. All those who are baptized may receive the Sacrament, but it is important that we know the meaning and purpose. In general, we do Communion recognition and awareness at about age 8. We have excellent resources to learn the meaning of the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
A Nursery is provided during each service for the youngest up to age 4.
Children are always welcome to stay with their families for the entire worship service.
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs." Matthew 19:14
Our music is a blend of traditional music and contemporary. We use worship settings from the Lutheran Book of Worship, Worship and Praise, With One Voice, and GIA for different seasons of the year.
